Tips: How to Distinguish Real Leather from PU or Plastic
And synthetic leather, very easy to be mistaken as real leather, because it's soft , too. But the bottom of it is fabric, for enforcement purpose. If burned, the smoke is like any plastic burning, too.
All PU, plastic, or synthetic leather are man-made cheap materials.
Real Leather has natural animal skin texture on its surface, some might with embossed texture, or with shiny coating, hand feel soft and abundant, natural animal fiber on the bottom side. Uneasy to burn with a fire, when burning, will come out WHITE smoke, the smell is just like you burn your own hair, and the residue is in powder if you hand press them.
